The newest Terrell Owens madness
Ok, let's leave aside the actual story here and focus on Joe Theismann's commentary on the right. Anyone want to lay odds that Jeff Lurie doesn't go straight from this analysis to the phone lines and take Joe's advice to scour the Packers, Hawks, and Bucs' rosters to find wideouts? I'm probably making something out of nothing here, but bottom line is you can just FEEL Joe's arrogance coming through in that tidbit. What a moron.I hate Joe Theismann. His having gainful employment is one of the biggest jokes in all of sports. He does no homework for his broadcast coverage OR his columns (all he has to do every week is study a couple films on the teams he's about to broadcast; is that too damn much to ask, Joe??), he has way too much pride to ever change his mind on a call after replays CLEARLY prove him wrong (though I'll admit several announcers do this), and he's just an awful commentator in general. He is, unquestionably to me, the WORST on-air personality I've come across in my lifetime of watching sports.
At least Stu Scott's idiocy is harmless, though grating. Theismann has a tendency to just get his facts wrong. I think the only thing he ever knows about any team is based entirely on what they did the last time they played the Redskins - because you know damn well he watched that game anyway, being the ex-Skin QB.
