It's not semantics because the jobs of all of these people are very different. Reporters do actual work, calling contacts, going on-site every day, digging for news. The real work behind Larry King's show is done by the people behind the scenes, not by Larry King. King has the gift of being an excellent conversationalist, which is why he is the one asking the questions and not the person that, most of the time, actually thought of them. "Someone who talks a lot on television" is an extremely wide and diverse range of people.

Reporter? When was the last time Larry King reported anything?
He's nothing more than a talk show host, a glorified Ellen DeGeneras. Okay, so maybe not THAT extreme but he isn't really much more than that.
Anchors, broadcasters, reporters, whatever. Me don't care about semantics. Point is, someone who talks a lot on television.

Apologies for misuse of the word "reporter." That had very little relevance to the underlying point of my post though.
