Hahahaahhah....
Jeremy Wood of Baton Rouge was given an ultimatum last Thursday by his boss at an insurance company -- show up for a 3 p.m. meeting Friday or be fired.
Wood opted not to go to the meeting so he could catch a flight for Tempe, Ariz., to see LSU play Arizona State.
"It was going to happen anyway," said Wood, a native of Jonesville who played football for Block High School, on the flight home Sunday night. "I was going to leave in a few weeks anyway. This weekend seemed as good a time as any with the game being moved to Tempe. Do you know anybody in the insurance business?"
On Monday, Wood started looking for a new job.
Finding a new job in Baton Rouge might not be so easy for homeboy. At least he got to see a damn good game.
