College football update

1) Papa John's cheese sticks are really good. New discovery for me. Thanks, Chirag. I am also eating pancakes that I got to-go from the BC Cafe in Claremont (because I went there for a lunch today and absolutely could NOT leave without the BC's pancakes). Not an entirely good weekend for the body fat percentage.

2) Great day for ND.

3) Big 12 not looking too hot. (OU loses, A&M not looking so hot at Clemson. Whither Reggie McNeal's passing ability?) At least UT rolled 60 on the Ragin Cajuns. Just kick 'em while they're down, assholes. Hopefully Mack can keep OU under 60 this year (seeing as he's failed at that TWICE).

4) Auburn - Ga Tech game is good. Brandon Cox (Auburn QB) could get absolutely NOTHING going until a 2 minute drill in which he completed more passes than he had the entire first half to that point (it was 3 before, and 6 or 7 on that drive). Maybe he can play after all. Auburn's receivers are stepping up for their Q.

5) Great start for the Charlie Weis era. Unlike the start to the Ty era in which they stunned Maryland to open it up, these guys can actually move the ball AND are turning in a great defensive effort.

6) Just when I'm about to post this, Reggie McNeal just threaded a beautiful ball into the endzone for a 30-yard TD pass (after a 49-yard run) to put A&M up 24-22. We have ourselves a burner!!

[Edit: Have I mentioned it's been a great start for Charlie Weis and ND? :D]
