College football thoughts from today (so far)

1) Haven't watched TCU-OU yet (it's on Tivo), so I'll get around to it tonight. But this brings about an unfortunate situation for Texas - if they DO beat OU this year, they'll have to deal with the swarm of folks saying "Who cares? OU wasn't that good this year anyway." And if they DON'T beat OU, it'll be only that much worse. Maybe OU can get back on track if Bomar starts from now on.

2) Jared Zabransky just looked awful. Four INT's in the first half and two fumbles. Multiple throws into triple coverage. AT LEAST two other throws (in a string of three plays) that should have been picked. Georgia's D was everywhere it needed to be, and clearly, Boise State just could not keep up with DJ Shockley. Shockley wasn't particularly accurate, overthrowing and underthrowing receivers on multiple occasions.

3) Not a great weekend for anyone who thinks the West Coast teams are underappreciated compared to elsewhere - what happened to UW?

4) I'm so glad football is back. What a great, lazy day of eating like hell and watching television.
