Telling moments in liberal headline writing

Headline: "Roberts scoffed at equal pay theory"
Context:
Roberts said the women's letter "contends that more is required because women still earn only $0.60 for every $1 earned by men, ignoring the factors that explain that apparent disparity, such as seniority, the fact that many women frequently leave the work force for extended periods of time. ... I honestly find it troubling that three Republican representatives are so quick to embrace such a radical redistributive concept. Their slogan may as well be, 'From each according to his ability, to each according to her gender.' "
So, since he feels like pay should be based on ability, he's oppressing women's rights. What a crock of shit. Not till the end of the article do we learn that other documents were unearthed which clearly portray Roberts as the opposite of what the now-pulled NARAL ad made him out to be.

This is the type of "news" story we are accustomed to seeing in the NY Times; I didn't realize the USA Today passes this tripe off in the news section as well.
